Jelle won the first prize in the competition for the international Dance Music Awards 2009(IDMA) in Miami. The concept of the video is a rather abstract one; contrasts between black and white, various types of dance, falling, round forms and the use of diamants. The narrative breathes romance. The two models Bart Dors and Eva Beurskens are the protagonists in a love story.

I had never planned to enter a beauty pageant but one doesn’t always know what’s around the corner, the opportunity that comes our way and sometime the life changing experiences, fate may have a lot to with this. I decided to compete for the title of Miss Jamaica Universe (MJU) because I wanted to use this platform to make a difference in my country.

I like those platforms. I think they are very useful, especially for newcomers, who like to inform themselves and get in touch with others. It helps them to understand what it means to be a model. Another thing I particularly like about modelmanagement.com is that photographers and agencies use the site for their purposes too. The combination of models, photographers and agencies is quite appealing and unique to me. It’s something I haven’t seen that often.
