About Irene
Born and raised in a small village in Holland near Rotterdam, I completed a Bachelor education in International Business Administration at RSM Erasmus University. For my Master in Marketing Management I did a Master Exchange at the Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, where I could enjoy my love for fashion in courses on the history of fashion, management of fashion & design companies and related fields. After living in this exciting fashion capital for 1,5 years I moved to amazing Barcelona. What I love most in all creative industries is the concept of storytelling. Other than that I can fly and read minds. I hope you will enjoy my articles and feel free to leave comments!

There has been a trend slowly sneaking in, coming upon us like a preditor taking in his prey and developing a strategy for attack. Amazones, Tribal or Futuristic, fashion is going for the warrior look, showing fierce women that are up to whatever battle lies ahaid.
‘When I first moved to New York and I was totally broke, sometimes I would buy Vogue instead of dinner. I felt it fed me more.’ Carrie Bradshaw.
Ow yes, we are back with New York Fashion Week’s most seen models. With so many gorgeous people walking around, no wonder the city never sleeps.
Last week the streets of New York were covered with male and female models for the latest Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Bryant Park. Who were the most seen faces on this seasons catwalk?? Let’s have a look!
I’m absolutely speechless.. The legendary Alexander McQueen was found dead in his London home yesterday morning. He committed suicide. It is the second death in the McQueen family in a short time, Alexander’s mother also passed away last week.
I am on strike. I hereby refuse to buy any fashion magazine with a big smile celebrity face on the cover. I am sick of seeing yet another cover featuring Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, Penelope Cruise, Kate Hudson and so on.
My last blog on men fashion week Milan
How good times go fast… But at least I have something great to show you! Iceberg’s pieces may not have been the most outgoing, but they will certainly appear to the liking of a lot of guys (these handsome men looked like rougher versions of Dorian Grey, yummie!)
All snow lovers unite! If you will be on the slopes this year, this is what D&G has in store for you. They had their whole show devoted to a ski trip, featuring a wide range of metallic shimmery ski pants, winterhats, gloves, and layers of knitwear to keep you warm.
Vivienne Westwood at Milan Men Fashion Week: A Homeless Frosted Scottish Safari with a Standing Ovation
By Irene
The most original and outgoing show (as far as I have seen) was definitely of Vivienne Westwood. She got her inspiration from the street, from Africa, from Jack Sparrow, and of course a bit of Britain.
Model wise, Dolce & Gabbana went all out this season with no less than 90 models!! in their show. In line with their tribal way of advertising, the models came out in groups of 8. The opening models were Dolce’s campaign favourites Noah Mills and David Gandy, both wearing a pair of men leggings! and some nice working boats that were seen throughout the whole show.
Milan Men Fashion Week Presents Fall/Winter 2010-2011: show reviews, videos, backstage footage and more!!
By Irene
I just got back from Milan Men Fashion Week 16-19 January. Putting so many shows in such a limited amount of time did mean that many models weren’t able to walk all shows they were casted for and were forced to choose. The same goes for press and buyers. As such, models and guests were flying all over Milan from one show to the next not to miss it!
