About Emma D.

I’m a writer and translator, which means that I have the cool opportunity to work on many different kinds of projects simultaneously. Born and raised in Finland, I decided at an early age to move to London, one of the world’s hippest and most exciting cities, to pursue my education and my career. After five years, and what feels like a lifetime’s worth of experience, I decided to make a move to Barcelona. So here I am, some years later, still enjoying life under the sun and my growing career. I feel passionate about writing, and I’m also an avid follower of the fashion scene. Somewhat of an aspiring clothes and accessories designer, I keep myself informed and very up-to-date on the latest fashion lowdown. Over the years I have acquainted myself with many industry professionals working in the fashion and modeling sector. I’ve definitely developed a deeper understanding of why fashion and modeling is a world so many desire to be a part of.

We often hear talk and critique about model behaviour and oh-those-attitudes-of-supermodels. But this time it comes from a different angle. I’d say the best thing is to make a plan. Ask yourself, when do you want to finish your studies? How much do you want to travel as a model? Plus, when you are working as a model you should be prepared to wait all the time, so while you wait, why not utilize that time for reading and studying, and educating yourself.
