I love films. Having said that, I’m pretty selective of what I watch. I only see the movies that I deem worthy enough of my time, so the films that end up watching usually include a particular theme or a story that I find interesting.
Fashion on the big screen is a great motivator for me. I tend to have my eye on the style of characters in pretty much every film I see whether it’s a period drama or a modern thriller. Style and costumes make a big part of any movie, and that’s why the countdown for my favorite movies usually includes an element of great fashion. The Times Online has beat me to it by coming up with a list of their 25 most memorable movies, but from a fashion angle. I must admit, the list does look pretty accurate. Let’s see what you think.
1. West Side Story, 1961
2. Belle de Jour, 1967
3. The Big Sleep, 1946
4. Atonement, 2007
5. Bonnie and Clyde, 1967
6. Annie Hall, 1977
7. Factory Girl, 2006
8. Coco avant Chanel, 2009
9. Gone with the Wind, 1939
10. The Talented Mr. Ripley, 1999
And the list continues… I have few of my own favorites that The Times Online failed to mention. I would definitely list Breakfast at Tiffany’s as part of my own list of most fashionable films.
And out of more recent films, I would probably mention Clint Eastwood’s Changeling. I love the glamour of the 30’s when women still looked so feminine and stylish.
Do you agree with The Times Online? What would you list as the most fashionable films to you?

What caught my eye as well was the movie Flawless, with Demi Moore. Gotta love that 60’s London style, and those diamonds.
