Nadja Broeckelmann from modelmanagement.com caught up with the current Mrs Germany, Elischeba Wilde, to find out just what it’s like to hold this title and what exactly is the difference between Miss and Mrs Germany.

Nadja: When did you start modeling and how did you become a model?
How time flies – I’m modeling already for 12 years now! Outside Influences brought me to it. I thought about working with children or animals, and then I was discovered at the age of 13, and I thought to myself: Why not? I had a lot of fun in front of the camera. But as a Teenager my father strictly forbid any artistic jobs, so I really started to work as a model in the age of 22.
Nadja:You are the officiating Mrs. Germany? What’s the difference between a Miss and a Mrs. Germany and what is your function?
The difference can be seen on the right ring finger. While Miss Germany is wearing a ring only for decoration, Mrs. Germany needs to be married. Without marriage certificate no contest participation! My functions are multifaceted: beside charity work I act officially as Mrs Germany at a lot of events and I am moderating more and more.

Nadja:And how has the election helped your career?
I got some great contacts, which enriched me and carried me forward. For example there is Elischebas Welt running on “Ach nee TV” – that would have been almost impossible without my title.
Nadja: What other jobs are you working on? What was the most interesting model job you did so far?
I have been modeling for all sort of things from sports apparel to milk products or even wood stoves – and there have been a lot of highlights. For instance I’m very proud to be the official BEL model and to see my face on the packaging in all the drugstores. Furthermore I had the privilege to do an under-water shooting with a whale shark in Kenya!
Nadja:There is no sign or link to an agency on your website. Does that mean you manage all of the job requests yourself? If so tell us a little about managing yourself.
I am represented in agencies in Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden, Esslingen and Cologne, but they allow me to be active by myself. Since I have a lot of ideas and I’m very creative, it gives me a lot of pleasure to manage myself.
Nadja:Besides modeling you are also working as a moderator and as a author for a diving magazine, tell us a little about this.
While shooting it happened sometimes that the photographers pointed out discreetly not to talk anymore. Because of being such a curious, communicative and enquiring person the job as a moderator probably fits me a bit better. I’m also in front of the camera, and to act with the lens runs in my blood. Even the job as an author amuses me – by the way I founded my own travel website in summer 2008 www.Elischebas-Reisen.de. I sell myself as a package – just modeling would be to superficial for me.

Nadja: Where do you see yourself in the future? What would be a dream job in the model industry?
Because of my optimism and dreams for success I see my future in glowing colours. My own Travel TV Show would be my biggest dream – who knows what life has in store for you? As a model I would love to have my own fragrance – that would be fantastic. I worked a lot as a model, but so far I haven’t been contracted to a perfume.
Nadja:What is your opinion on online platforms such as modelmanagement.com? And how important is the Internet for the people in the modeling industry?
The website is perfect for being discovered as a model. I mainly work through the internet to find contacts and then keep in touch and with both online and offline. The standard and the claim of modelmanagement.com is very high. For sure the website will grow in a very positive way.
Nadja: Any words of advice for the girls and ladies who aspire to be a model?
To be loyal to yourself! I don’t like it when a young girl of a normal weight says to me with a sad face that she would love to be as slim as me. I eat good and solid foods and allow myself some chocolate every day and I am still a bit underweight. It worries me when models diet too much and are in danger of becoming anorexic. I have my physique due to a rapid metabolism, but if a girl with feminine curves is knowingly starving herself, she will lose a lot of her charisma and identity. My advice is to eat healthy and sane – the trend now is toward normal weighted models anyway.

Hi! Interesting stuff. Do you reckon anyone would do this? Is there anything else you think we should know? Any other rules?
